Day 8 – Living Room

The lyrics to this months track ‘Living Room’ suggests that you “open your eyes when you dream”. The last 8 months have been nothing shy of that. We have met dozens of incredible artists, met hundreds of new fans, all while raising almost $5,000 for local charities. Most importantly, we have all of you to thank for it.

‘Living Room’ was recorded at Lakeside Studios, and mixed by engineer Kyle Crosby. Our good friends at DC Life Magazine have helped us launch the track this month, click here to get your free copy of ‘Living Room’.

The artists this month are:
Day 8 – Living Room – Writer: Victor Honoré
Day 8 – Living Room – Artist: Wendy Anderson
Day 8 – Living Room – Musician: Ted Hovis & Jamie Kowalski
Day 8 – Living Room – Film Maker: Cathy Ceigersmidt

Day 7 – Candle in a Blackout

A glimmer of hope can get you through a lot, just like a candle offers comfort when things are at their darkest. Already half way through the Twelve Days Project, we are beginning to close in on the light at the end, and we are releasing the track ‘Candle in a Blackout’.

This month the creative urban arts blog Ready Set DC is carrying the promotional torch. Visit http://music.thedreamscapesproject.com to download Candle in a Blackout!

The benefit concert this month will be at the State Theater July 23rd. Presale tickets go to benefit the Sitar Arts Center in DC and are available at http://www.figmentalrecords.com/live

Like last month, we have decided to give each artist their own separate spot light during the next twelve days, so keep checking back as we announce the releases.

Sticking with the theme of a power outage, we figured the closest thing to a film when the power is out would be a comic strip. Musician, producer, and 3D graphic artist William “Shaggy” Chrapcynski brought us this Candle in a Blackout themed piece for Day 7. See more of his work at http://www.bsodcomic.net
